If you have arrived here, you probably already know that publishing is a far cry from the old days of thick, paper manuscripts with contracts signed over brandy and cigars. While it’s still possible to be published through a traditional publishing house, we believe many people will do better financially and have more fun publishing on their own. 

We have a combined 70 years of experience in the writing and publishing businesses, and will be happy to work with you on your project, giving you as much or as little help as you need. Above all, we offer honest evaluations. If we don’t think your manuscript is quite there, we’ll say so. Conversely, if we think you have a potential blockbuster on your hands, we’ll try to connect you with an agent or publishing house that can help you better than we can.

Self-publishing is unlikely to make you rich. But with the advent of on-demand printing, writers have a lot better shot of ending up in the black than they did when printing efficiencies demanded that you buy a minimum of 2,000 copies — many of which would end up in attics or landfills. Under our model, you pay for as much or as little help as you need to get your book to the printer; then you buy as many, or as few books as you think you can sell (you can always order more). 

Then, when you sell the book, you keep the profit. With our model, you will have a good idea of the number of books you will need to sell to break even, and the amount of per-book profit you can expect after that. But even more rewarding to many is that you will keep total control of your manuscript. We will offer advice, but all final decisions are yours.
